The venue
An old estate in the hills above Marbella, beside the Río Verde. Built in 1837 around one of the first iron foundries in Spain, its ruins now sit among restored gardens — which is where we'll eat, toast and dance.
Ten thousand square metres of tropical planting and old palms, split into separate corners with fountains running through them.
A hundred-year-old walnut stands in the middle of the garden, and its shade is where dinner is usually laid out.
The old foundry buildings and the little village that grew around them have been restored, and make up the spaces the party moves through.

Where to stay
The old-town hotels are a few minutes' walk from the church. April fills up fast in Marbella, so book early.
Getting there
Málaga Airport (AGP) is the closest, about 45 minutes by car or taxi. Gibraltar (GIB) is roughly an hour away.
The old town is pedestrian. Leave the car in one of the public car parks nearby and walk in.
Finca La Concepción is about 15 minutes by car from the old town, up the Istán road. Taxis and ride-hailing apps work well in Marbella, and we'll share shuttle details closer to the date.

The Iglesia Mayor de la Encarnación sits at the top of the old town. The streets are cobbled and pedestrian, so comfortable shoes (or heel protectors) are a good idea.
